Fizz is a nomadic biographer, blogger and traveller who writes while on the move.  Using a smart ‘phone and a Bluetooth keyboard, Fizz creates web content and magazine articles.

Fizz has had a varied career, which most recently  included working with her husband as Housekeeper and Butler at stately homes in England.  After having chosen to take early retirement, Fizz and Andy maintain a permanent home in Cambridgeshire, while spending much of their time touring Europe and Scandinavia in a motorhome.

For many years Fizz has crafted hand-made jewellery, and undertaken jewellery repairs, to raise money for three different charities.  Since 2018 all of her jewellery has been created while on the road, often using found objects such as sea glass for inspiration.

Two blogs take up much of Fizz’s time: a travel blog, and the Irene Mawer blog.  Fizz’s research into Irene Mawer uses primary sources and her work is cited in books and papers.  An expert in her subject, Fizz has received compliments and requests for help from academics in the fields of theatre, dance and women’s history.  (See blog links below.)

Chasing the Northern Lights:
A Beginner's Guide

Watching the Aurora Borealis from a motorhome in Arctic Norway. Andy and Janet gave up their secure but dull jobs in order to travel the world in a motorhome.
Living full-time on the road, they headed up through Germany and Denmark before spending five months living wild in Norway. Their one ambition was to see the Northern Lights.
This short guide gives tips on how to approach the task of chasing the lights and finishes with a lyrical description of what the couple saw when they found them.

My Motorhome Blog

Writing when we are constantly on the road is sometimes difficult; however, I try to keep people updated as much as I can via my blog:-
